Information: This very friendly Mastiff can be found sleeping in front of Uttam Cold Store (next to Road House Cafe) in Jhamal. Apparently he has been abandoned by its owner, a foreigner. Simba is feeling depressed and has hardly eaten in the past two weeks. He is not street wise and does not know how to scavenge. Who is ready to give this gentle, gorgeous dog a new leash on life? This perfect pet has been treated and vaccinated by Animal Nepal. He suffers from a small patch of fungal infection which will soon be healed.

Information: Although we normally do not accept small puppies at our shelter, we always have some motherless ones available. We deworm and vaccinate them. They are everything one looks for in a good pet: playful, intelligent and healthy. The puppies are fully socialized and in return for good food and TLC they will give you lots of joy and happiness. What is more, they come with one year of free medical care at our sanctuary! Don't worry about the fact that some of them are female. We will spay them at the age of 3-4 months FOR FREE. Information: This delightful dog was found in Jhamsikhel suffering from CTVT (Canine Transmisible Venereal Tumor). Sumi received chemotherapy and fully recovered. After she was returned to the street we found that Sumi was getting malnourished due to teeth problems. We decided to take her back and look for a good home. Sumi needs soft food but no other special provisions. She loves being cuddled and enjoys the company of children and other dogs. Sumi comes with a health card.

Information: Tsuyo is a a loyal, friendly and playful dog, who loves to get petted. His favorite pasttime is hanging out with his human family and basking in the sun. He is medium-sized, strong-built and suited as a guard dog. But he would cry if chained all day. He has been raised to run free without being chained and deservingly so; he does not bite and can be left alone without having to worry about visitors. He does not bark excessively, he is well-trained and listens well to commands. He does not do well with aggressive dogs, but he is friendly with the more submissive types. Tsuyo's owners can no longer take care of him due to family illness, and looking to find Tsuyo a lovely home at the earliest. All vaccinations are current and records will be provided.

Information: We call this handsome buddy BUDDY. And he is a true friend. 3 yrs old, but still as playful as from when he was a puppy. Medium but strong built, proving his decent from the Tibetian Mastiffs. Loves to run. Generally blends in easily and is well behaved around other participants of larger dimensions than himself. He is probably more bossy around smaller ones, nothing alarming, he is just so full of himself. But his owners are leaving the country and we need to find Buddy a loving home at the earliest. All vaccination are current and records will be provided.

Although many prefer a pure breed we at the Animal Welfare Network Nepal believe local mixed breeds are just as handsome, clever, funny and lovable. When handled well mixed breeds tend to be very healthy as they they carry strong genes and are well adjusted to local conditions.

Adopting a stray dog or cat can be very rewarding - you help saving an animal who otherwise has little chance of survival.

What you should think about before adopting a dog/cat:

-Do I have enough space? Dogs specially need space to exercise
-Do I have enough money? Pets are expensive!

-Do I have enough time? Pets, like people, deserve your time and attention
-What pet suits my family best?
